We are seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapist to join our team at Recovery Solutions. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing therapeutic recreation groups and activities for patients with mental illness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead daily recreation and recovery groups to maximize patient participation and positive outcomes.
  • Implement individualized activity plans and maintain a creative, stimulating environment for patients.
  • Conduct therapeutic activities assessments, supervise other staff, and document services provided in accordance with professional standards and facility procedures.
  • Provide individualized care and treatment that considers the age and developmental needs of each patient.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest training and knowledge on care and treatment needs of patients with different ages and conditions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation with an option in Therapeutic Recreation.
  • Experience in recreational therapy with persons diagnosed with severe and/or persistent mental illness and/or neurocognitive delays.
  • Certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation or certified as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist by the state for Therapeutic Recreation / Activities Certification.
