Job Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Business Analysis, Senior Analyst to support a Federal Government client at our Charleston, SC location. As a member of the Global Compensation team, the successful candidate will provide data analysis and systems support expertise for multiple software products and production system environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers' business processes and practices in assigned technical and functional areas.
  • Support project initiatives utilizing project management methodology, ensuring timely and effective delivery of business solutions.
  • Collaborate with government staff, bureaus, agencies, and posts to provide expert analysis and recommendations.
  • Act as a liaison between payroll user departments, DBA groups, and software development teams to support business user requirements, functional design reviews, and software release/implementation activities.
  • Work with clients to review test plans, ensuring business processes and user requirements are satisfied.
  • Identify gaps in business processes and/or software functionality, recommend corrective alternatives, and facilitate solution development/implementation.
  • Extract, transform, summarize, and present data from systems and databases using SQL, spreadsheets, and written summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO-9001 requirements and support Quality Management System objectives.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in presenting technical business process solutions in an easy-to-understand manner for clients in both verbal and written form.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and responsibilities while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Self-starter with initiative to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-5 years' experience working with Oracle PeopleSoft Payroll or similar HRMS/Payroll software.
  • Experience with database design techniques and advanced SQL skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and certification.
  • PMP or project management certification.
Education and Clearance

Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or financial field or relevant experience. All applicants must be U.S. citizens willing to undergo a comprehensive background investigation to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
