Job Description

Job Title: Process Engineer Intern

Job Summary:

Danfoss LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Process Engineer Intern, you will assist in evaluating and determining best methods for material handling processes, apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine workflow processes, staff requirements, and production standards, and draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating and determining best methods for material handling processes
  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine workflow processes, staff requirements, and production standards
  • Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency
  • Assist in providing technical and operational support as needed
  • Study operations sequence, material flow, organization charts and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities
  • Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material and equipment
  • Draft and document standard operating procedures (SOP) and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) for operations tasks and functions
  • Conduct observations and time studies as required to implement engineered standards
  • Assists in project activities

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in 3D and 2D CAD, Mini Tab experience also preferred, quality tools (problem solve, PFMEA), line design
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Sit/walk or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Available to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week during business hours (8 am-5 pm Mon-Fri)
  • Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the work location
