About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team as Assistant Vice President of Allied Healthcare Professional Liability Risks. As a key member of our growing division, you will be responsible for establishing and expanding an underwriting group focused on medical malpractice and allied healthcare professional liability risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and expand an underwriting group focused on a book of business including physicians, hospitals, medical spas, surgery centers, pharmacies, home healthcare, medical imaging labs, walk-in clinical laboratories, hospice care facilities, and individuals involved in therapy.
  • Develop, maintain, manage, and grow a book of business.
  • Identify, target, solicit, and negotiate new business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with wholesale brokers in the region.
  • Grow the underwriting group and expand it into a profitable division.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-10 years of experience in underwriting, preferably in medical malpractice and allied healthcare professional liability risks
