Role Overview:

The FSQA Technician plays a vital role in the collaborative FSQA process, focusing on safeguarding food quality through systematic sampling, testing, and documentation to comply with Aspire Bakeries' Integrated Management System Program (AIMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform product evaluations and take immediate corrective actions for any out-of-specification items, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Enforce the significance of Critical Control Points (CCPs) and maintain rigorous monitoring, implementing necessary measures to rectify deviations.
  • Make critical decisions regarding production halts or product holds when specifications are not met, following established procedures and effectively communicating with supervisory staff.
  • Promptly inform supervision of any unauthorized modifications to product settings that may compromise quality.
  • Observe and report on product, packaging, equipment, and environmental conditions, taking corrective actions as needed to meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Promote and monitor adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Oversee equipment settings to ensure accuracy and maintain thorough records of findings.
  • Engage in various roles on the production line while fulfilling QA responsibilities.
  • Provide training to line leads to serve as primary QA technician substitutes during absences.
  • Adhere to all regulations to guarantee food safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Establish and nurture effective working relationships across the team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; some college coursework in science or relevant experience in the food sector is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in operating scales, metal detection, imaging devices, ovens, and other measurement instruments.
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Shift: 1st

Hourly Rate: $19.50

Aspire Bakeries LLC values the contributions of each team member. The determination of starting pay will depend on various factors, including location, shift, education, skills, and experience. The listed pay scale is generally applicable to candidates meeting the specified qualifications. Additional compensation may be offered to those exceeding these qualifications. We provide a competitive compensation package alongside a comprehensive benefits program to cater to your needs. For union-represented positions, wage rates are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements.
