Role Overview:

The FSQA Technician plays a vital role in our collaborative FSQA process, tasked with safeguarding food quality through systematic sampling, testing, and thorough documentation in compliance with Aspire Bakeries Integrated Management System Program (AIMS) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product evaluations and take prompt corrective actions for any out-of-specification items, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Uphold and monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs), taking necessary actions to rectify any deviations.
  • Make critical decisions regarding production stoppages or product holds when quality standards are not met, and communicate effectively with supervisory staff regarding these events.
  • Timely notify supervisors of any unauthorized modifications to product settings that may compromise quality.
  • Observe and assess product, packaging, equipment, and environmental conditions, taking corrective measures as needed to comply with company and regulatory standards.
  • Promote and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), ensuring adherence and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Monitor equipment settings for accuracy and maintain precise records of findings.
  • Assist on the production line in various roles while fulfilling QA responsibilities.
  • Provide training to line leads to serve as primary QA technician backups in their absence.
  • Adhere to established rules and regulations to guarantee food safety, quality, and legality.
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships within the team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; preference for candidates with some college science coursework or experience in the food sector.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in operating scales, metal detection and imaging devices, ovens, and other measurement instruments.
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Hourly Rate: $19.50

Aspire Bakeries LLC values the contributions of each team member. The determination of starting pay will vary based on several factors, including location, shift, education, skills, and experience. The listed pay scale generally applies to candidates meeting the specified qualifications and requirements. Additional compensation may be available for candidates exceeding these qualifications. We offer a competitive compensation package alongside a comprehensive benefits program to meet your needs. For union-represented positions, wage rates are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements.
