Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Center Assistant to join our team at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of PLANO - FOUR CORNERS. As a Center Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow.

Responsibilities
  • Grade and record homework and classwork in student files
  • Work directly with Early Learner children (ages 3-7)
  • Provide guidance for children studying in main classroom
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to Instructor
  • Collaborate with other teachers and Instructor to ensure a cohesive learning experience
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
  • Follow all policies and procedures, including those related to child welfare
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting and/or experience in care-giving or babysitting (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications or clearances
Work Environment

We offer a part-time schedule with competitive hourly rates. If you are passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing quality care and education to young children, we encourage you to apply.

Available shifts on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Compensation is $9.00 - $12.00/hour.
