The Department of Women's Health at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School is recruiting a General OBGYN to join our team as an Assistant, Associate or full Professor. We seek individuals with excellent clinical skills, a passion for education, and potential for scholarly contributions.

As part of The University of Texas at Austin, one of the nation's leading research universities, the Dell Medical School pursues innovation in the redesign of healthcare delivery, excellence in healthcare research, and programs in interdisciplinary and inter-professional education. It is the fifth medical school in the UT System and the first medical school established in nearly five decades by a member of the Association of American Universities, an organization of leading public and private research universities. An extraordinary commitment of resources, both public and private, has already been made to enable the development and success of the Dell Medical School including now the planning for two additional hospital towers which will create The University of Texas at Austin Medical Center. The School is partnering closely with the community and regional healthcare providers and payers to provide new models for health promotion, healthcare delivery, and clinical care for the community's entire population. About the Department of Women's Health
The Department of Women's Health is comprised of faculty in broad specialties including General OBGYN, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility with a focus on delivering outstanding care to the community.

About the position:
The Division of General OBGYN offers the full scope of obstetrics and gynecology services. The position is inclusive of both inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services and outpatient professional practice. Outpatient effort is a combination of community based clinics and independent private practice.
Essential Functions:
Participate in the design, implementation and iteration of a value-based care in the area of obstetrics and gynecologyParticipate in the development of cross-continuum, multidisciplinary care pathways for priority areas based on best-available clinical evidence, including referral guidelines for primary care providers and management guidelines for post-acute providersParticipation in relevant registries and patient-reported outcomes into clinical workflows for the purposes of measuring clinical qualityParticipation in the creation of care guidelines and best practices for obstetrics and gynecology where national guidelines do not currently exist.Developing partnerships with referring physicians, hospitals, and post-acute providers in Austin and Central TexasTraining and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows on new models of care and clinical practice.Contribute to investigation and discover in the area of General OBGYNQualificationsMedical degree from an accredited medical school.Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas (or the ability to obtain prior to appointment).Current Board certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or eligible for certification by having passed the Qualifying Examination (in certain extenuating circumstances, this requirement might be waived).Eligible for appointment as an Assistant, Associate or full Professor rank at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin.-
