We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Loan Officer to join our team at First National Bank of Oneida. As a Loan Officer, you will act as a liaison between applicants and our financial institution, helping qualified applicants obtain loans and set up payment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with loan applicants to identify their needs and collect information for loan applications.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive client information.
  • Analyze active loan files on a regular basis and recommend solutions to speed up the loan process.
  • Complete loan contracts and educate clients on policies and regulations.
  • Interview applicants to determine their financial eligibility and establish debt payment plans.
  • Monitor and update account records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Submit loan applications in a timely manner to meet business goals.
  • Prepare detailed loan proposals that meet the needs of both applicants and the bank.
  • Reject loan applications and provide clear explanations to applicants regarding any deficiencies.
  • Respond to applicants' questions and resolve any loan-related issues in a professional and courteous manner.

We are looking for a highly skilled Loan Officer who is able to meet and exceed goals while operating in compliance with local, state, and federal loan regulations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a loan officer is required.
  • Solid understanding of loan regulations and banking software is essential.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and 401(k) matching.
