Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Operations Specialist to join our team at the University Vascular Center in Knoxville, TN. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating patient flow throughout the clinic, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and coordinating testing as needed. They will also prioritize appointments, schedule surgeries, handle authorizations, and work closely with surgeons during clinic sessions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management abilities, and excellent organizational skills. Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Scheduling appointments and testing as needed, ensuring efficient use of clinician time
  • Prioritizing appointments and tasks to meet clinical needs
  • Coordinating surgery schedules and authorizations
  • Working closely with surgeons during clinic sessions to ensure smooth patient flow
Requirements

6-12 months of previous medical office experience preferred

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills are essential for this role
