Desktop Support Specialist

At Iron Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support for our desktop devices, ensuring that our employees have the tools they need to be productive and successful.
Responsibilities:- Manage desktop devices, including hardware, software, and connectivity, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Provide expert-level support for IMAC and desk-side services, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Manage hard and soft break-fix services for laptops and desktops, including hardware replacements and spares provided by vendors.
- Support and maintain the configuration and installation of desktop devices, including patch updates and security profiles.
- Analyze service desk calls and incident data to identify potential user training requirements and automation opportunities.
- Ensure that each desktop device is installed with the appropriate desktop image and that security profiles and anti-virus software are up-to-date.
- Provide VIP support for desk-side issues and serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues at the site.
- Ensure that all technical staff are fully vaccinated.
- Knowledge and experience with Windows 7 OS.
- Good to have: knowledge in AD and smart hands and feet support.
- Good to have: knowledge and experience of supporting MAC devices and tablets.
- Experience with Service management tools, such as ServiceNow.
- Expertise in EUC tools, remote support tools, MS Office, and Outlook.
- Preferable to have a good understanding of Lync, VPN, and mobile device support.
- Awareness of ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request, and related activities like spare and buffer stock management.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a three-year college or technical school with an emphasis in electronics required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
