Position Overview: We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist Level II to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including Help Desk Specialists, Network Engineers, System Administrators, and Database Experts. Together, this team provides comprehensive IT Operations and Support to a federal agency responsible for training law enforcement personnel across various organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, or repair computer systems and associated devices
  • Ensure system functionality by evaluating existing equipment and software
  • Explore and test new systems and applications
  • Document modifications, updates, and issues
  • Educate users on the effective use of hardware and software
  • Communicate clearly about technology usage with the team
  • Oversee and mentor junior specialists
  • Perform Tier I Technician duties

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in troubleshooting software and hardware in a customer service environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred candidates will have an associate degree in Information Technology, such as Network Administration; a high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are preferred

Security Requirements:

  • No security clearance is necessary; Secret Clearance is preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must successfully complete a Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation
