Job Title: Veterinary Technician - Intermediate Ward

Welcome to Ethos Veterinary Health, a leading network of specialty and emergency hospitals. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team in the Intermediate Ward.

The Intermediate Ward is a critical area of the hospital where we care for stable hospitalized patients. As an Intermediate Ward Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, working closely with our veterinarians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent patient care, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of hospitalized patients.
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform standard technician duties, including patient restraint, venipuncture, SQ fluids, radiographs, medication administration, and laboratory sample processing.
  • Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Respond promptly to STAT calls and follow established patient care protocols.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using EzyVet and Smartflow.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of medical and financial practices, including creating estimates and discussing with owners, collecting payment, and discharging patients.
  • Exhibit compassion and care in all interactions with patients, clients, and colleagues.
  • Participate in department and staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to hospital operations.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
  • Perform sedation and anesthesia according to established hospital protocols.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience required.
  • Colorado Registered Veterinary Technician or ability to become registered upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience in an Emergency or Specialty Practice.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate: $25-$34 DOE.
  • Sign-on bonus: $1,500.
  • Relocation bonus: $1,500 (for highly qualified Registered Technicians relocating within the Parker, CO area).
