We are seeking a full-time Humanities Educator for middle school grades. This role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The selected candidate will report directly to the Principal.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Humanities Educator will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to cultivate an engaging and student-focused learning environment, utilizing best practices for instruction in an inclusive setting. Key responsibilities include:
  • Instructing 7th grade theology and various humanities subjects, including history, reading, and writing; specific course assignments will be aligned with the candidate's expertise and the school's requirements.
  • Serving as a 7th grade homeroom instructor and collaborating with a grade-level team.
  • Adapting teaching methods to accommodate a diverse range of learners.
  • Understanding and appreciating the developmental stages of middle school students.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to design curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies that foster innovative and equitable learning experiences.
  • Effectively communicating with students, parents, fellow educators, and school leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possession of a valid teaching certificate and experience in teaching middle school humanities, including social studies, reading, and writing.
  • Ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences, with a strong belief in the potential of all students to achieve high standards.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a collaborative, student-centered teaching approach.
  • Experience integrating technology into the classroom and employing differentiated instructional strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Ability to foster a positive classroom environment characterized by respect, joy, and instructional excellence.
  • Understanding of the unique needs of middle school students and a commitment to holistic education.
  • Practicing Catholic with a passion for Catholic education and effective communication skills.
