We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Care Specialist to join our team at SuperCare Health. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, clients, and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming phone calls and faxes, taking customers' orders for durable medical and respiratory equipment, repairs, supplies, and other miscellaneous items.
  • Maintain open communication with patients/clients and referral sources, responding to their questions and problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare intake, gathering all necessary information about referrals, patient demographics, contact persons, physicians, diagnoses, discharge times and places, and item(s) requested.
  • Verify medical necessity with physicians, eligibility and coverage with insurance carriers, and payer information, obtaining authorization and expiration dates as needed.
  • Enter data and each order (new or otherwise) in the system accurately and in a timely manner, processing closet and on-call orders as received.
  • Remain knowledgeable on product and insurance coverage issues to inform patients of copays and other benefit information.
  • Attend all departmental meetings, company meetings, and in-services, reporting to work daily and being ready to work at the scheduled start time.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned and required, adhering to all SuperCare Health company policies.
Requirements:
  • Experience with medical supply companies, knowledge of diagnoses and medical terminology, and excellent customer service skills.
  • Previous management/supervisor or lead experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and experience in the healthcare, medical, and/or HME industry (preferred).
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks, plan and prioritize activities to achieve results and meet deadlines, and possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
