We are currently looking for a motivated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This position requires flexibility to work during weekends and overtime as needed.

Main Function:

This role is responsible for the receiving, selection, storage, and loading of all products and materials while safely operating all material handling equipment.


Schedule :
Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

Starting Pay:
$20.00/Hr.

Responsibilities:

Nature of the Work:
The employee performs essential tasks to maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and sanitation of the company’s facilities. Work is conducted following established procedures under both written and verbal instructions, with some decision-making regarding work details.


Tasks are performed with a degree of independence under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, subject to review through reports and outcomes achieved.


Primary Objectives:


Coordinate quality assurance activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, safety, regulatory compliance, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Participate in setting and achieving the division's short and long-term goals for business growth.


Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of facilities, including roofs, siding, and walls.

Adhere to safe work practices.

Understand occupational hazards and safety precautions related to building maintenance.

Utilize standard tools, methods, practices, and materials relevant to the building trades.

Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment.

Conduct minor electrical maintenance, including the replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., switches, outlets, bulbs, etc.) using appropriate tools.

Carry out minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains, etc.).

Perform snow removal and salting of facilities and access ways.

Maintain a valid driver's license.

Change filters on heating and air conditioning units. Clean exhaust fans.

Inspect emergency equipment and safety stations.

Repair and patch flooring as necessary.

Conduct painting tasks as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Must be able to work flexible hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Possess a working knowledge of contracting tools, including power tools such as saws and drills, as well as hand tools like hammers and screwdrivers.

Have a thorough understanding of operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, mowers, and loaders.

Be knowledgeable in operating a plow for snow removal.

Exhibit self-motivation and integrity.

Demonstrate reliability and accountability.

Show pride, enthusiasm, and initiative in work.

Collaborate effectively as a team member.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Estimate time and materials needed for maintenance and repair tasks.

Follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to learn new skills and techniques.

Work with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to climb ladders and stairs.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to detect and differentiate colors, sounds, and smells.

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand as required by the job.

Qualifications:

Qualifications Required for this Position:
High School Graduate

Six months to one year of experience in the food industry preferred.

At least one year of experience in building and grounds maintenance is preferred.
