Job Summary

Springwell Inc is seeking a highly skilled Protective Services Worker to join our team. As a Protective Services Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults, as well as providing short-term case management and making referrals to alleviate substantiated allegations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults, utilizing your analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential risks and develop effective solutions.
  • Conduct written assessments of risk, capacity, and functional abilities, and provide recommendations for support and services.
  • Provide short-term case management, including developing and implementing individualized plans to address the needs of older adults and their families.
  • Collaborate with elders, their formal and informal supports, other Springwell staff, and community professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with two years' experience or Master's degree with one year's experience in a related field, such as counseling, case management, crisis intervention, or elder services.
  • Prior experience in investigations, case management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of elder abuse and neglect.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability, sound judgment, and a commitment to providing high-quality services to older adults and their families.
