We are seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join our team at VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION OF HANOVER AND SPRING GROVE INC. This role will be responsible for performing insurance benefit verifications, obtaining authorizations, and processing claims for Home Health and Hospice services.
Key Responsibilities- Benefit Verifications: Verify patient benefits for Home Health and Hospice admissions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims.
- Authorization and Tracking: Obtain authorizations for Home Health and Hospice services, maintain tracking forms, and follow up on outstanding authorizations as needed.
- Claims Submission: Submit Home Health and Hospice claims in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with CMS regulations.
- Billing and Collections: Process claims, enter payments and adjustments, and perform follow-up on outstanding claims to resolve issues and ensure timely payment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of billing files and month-end close reports.
- Quality Assurance: Review patient demographic data for accuracy and completeness, and prepare benefit letters for new admissions.
- Data Entry and Editing: Perform data entry and editing of physician data in the back office, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Month-End Close: Participate in the month-end close process for Hospice and Home Health Accounts Receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of charges and payments.
