At Sonoco, we're looking for a skilled Material Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for the safe and accurate transfer of materials and finished goods to their proper locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Moves material, pallets, or finished products between trucks, outside storage or warehouse to and from production lines.
  • Responsible for accurate loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper documentation and double-checking what is put on each load being shipped out.
  • Keeps warehouse and storage areas neat and orderly.
  • Performs regrind duties, including sorting and regrinding of tubes and sticks, maintaining appropriate gaylords of regrind material, and maintaining cleanliness of the regrind area.
  • Observes all safety precautions concerning the operation of machines, especially the HALO rule when operating a forklift.

We're looking for someone with 2-3 years of experience operating forklifts, proficiency with using a computer, and the ability to work well with others. If you're a team player who is comfortable working overtime as needed, we'd love to hear from you.
