Position Overview

This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding service to our clients while adhering to Peoples Bank policies. Responsibilities include opening deposit accounts, processing transactions, promoting bank products and services, assisting with customer inquiries, and resolving service-related issues. Additionally, you will identify further customer needs and refer them to the appropriate departments, playing a crucial role in helping the branch meet its objectives while providing top-tier customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly demeanor and a proactive approach.
  • Cultivate and maintain a strong customer base, addressing clients by name and responding promptly to inquiries.
  • Uphold confidentiality and trust in all customer interactions.
  • Engage with customers to identify their needs and refer them to the appropriate associates.
  • Maintain accurate balancing and error records, addressing discrepancies as needed.
  • Process deposits, ensuring accuracy in amounts and endorsements.
  • Adhere to operational standards related to security and compliance.
  • Complete required training on bank policies and procedures consistently.
  • Meet or exceed sales referral goals set by management, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of our products and services.
  • Proactively seek solutions to customer issues, utilizing organizational resources effectively.
  • Conduct outreach to clients and prospects to achieve branch calling goals.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED; one to two years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Positive, professional demeanor with a collaborative spirit.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel for training and meetings, including potential overnight stays.
  • Trustworthy and discreet behavior is essential in this position.
