As a key member of our Microbiology Laboratory, you will be responsible for performing complex testing in various areas, including bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, virology, parasitology, urinalysis, body fluid analysis, and serology.
You will cultivate, isolate, and identify pathogens, perform chemical and physical evaluation of fluids, assist in the evaluation and implementation of new methodologies, and perform quality control, routine maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
As a Medical Technologist/MLS, you will be expected to perform and interpret tests accurately and efficiently, record and communicate results appropriately, and follow established policies and procedures.
You will work closely with our team to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety. Qualified applicants should have critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to recognize critical and/or abnormal results relating to Microbiology.
Our Microbiology Laboratory is a full-service section that uses leading-edge technology, including MicroScan, IRIS, APTIMA, and GeneXpert, to diagnose infectious diseases.
Requirements:
Must be certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician or be eligible for certification at the time of employment.
Proof of education will be required. Experience in a clinical Microbiology laboratory is strongly preferred.Benefits:
