Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center, Inc. is a prominent community health organization in Massachusetts, dedicated to serving the Worcester, Framingham, and Milford areas. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Customer Service Agent to join our team in Worcester, MA. This role involves managing incoming calls to the Health Center and determining the appropriate actions to address callers' needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming telephone inquiries to ensure that callers receive prompt and effective assistance.
  • Document messages for follow-up by Primary Care teams using standardized communication methods, including the EMR system and patient portal.
  • Verify and review caller and patient information for accuracy.
  • Process basic insurance referrals as requested and update patient records accordingly.
  • Perform assigned tasks, including contacting patients to cancel or reschedule appointments, making reminder calls, and entering data into various reports for tracking and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is essential.

  • Availability for one Saturday shift per month is necessary.
