Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MR Technologist to enhance our imaging services. This role involves operating MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients' anatomy for diagnostic evaluation. The technologist will provide expert guidance and technical assistance to MRI operations, ensuring adherence to professional standards while delivering exceptional patient care. A commitment to continuous learning in the field, including emerging technologies and procedures, is essential. This is a flexible per diem position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80%) Patient Imaging Duties

  • Conducts both standard and advanced MRI examinations on specified body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluates patients prior to procedures to identify any safety concerns or contraindications.
  • Prepares individuals for MRI scans by explaining the process and positioning them appropriately for optimal imaging.
  • Adjusts imaging parameters as necessary to ensure high-quality results.
  • Fosters positive interactions with radiologists, referring offices, and colleagues.
  • Communicates effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families as needed.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintains precise patient documentation within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work environment organized and sanitary, promoting safety for all.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.

(15%) Departmental Support

  • Ensures MRI equipment is functioning optimally; performs cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Assists in updating the MRI protocol manual and implementing software enhancements.
  • Monitors and manages inventory of medical supplies.
  • Supports the training of new staff by providing resources and technical knowledge.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other tasks as required to support the department.
