About the Role

Nuclear medicine technologists play a vital role in producing high-quality images for physicians to diagnose diseases. As a Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist at Mayo Clinic, you will prepare and administer radioactive isotopes, ensuring compliance with established safety guidelines and standards. This position requires competence in various imaging equipment and technology, as well as effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for diagnostic imaging
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and Mayo Clinic standards

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nuclear medicine technology program
Board certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology and current licensure (NMTCB or ARRT - Nuc. Med.)
BLS certification and additional certifications as required by Radiology leadership
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
