Government Sales Assistant

Overview
The Government Sales Assistant will be responsible for managing correspondence, organizing contract files, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Review and maintain physical and electronic contract files, prepare reports for prime and subcontractor files.
- Schedule and coordinate government certifications, deliveries, and responses to inquiries.
- Provide administrative support to the CMMC team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Research and prepare documentation for vendor RFQs and solicitation packages.
- Process orders for direct payment and resolve contract and payment issues.
- Review and coordinate responses to government inquiries.
- Participate in online training and webinars to maintain current industry knowledge and certifications.
- Prepare and maintain justification packages during the life of the contract and the three-year retention period.
- Review contract awards to ensure compliance.
- Complete quality assurance reviews and forms as applicable.
- Prepare and disseminate information regarding contract status, compliance, and modification requests.
- Provide documents, contracts, and proof of deliveries to facilitate government invoicing.
- Prepare and submit documents to complete contract-closeout.
Qualifications
Education
A high school diploma or GED is preferred; trade school or military experience is a plus.
Experience & Skills
- Requires solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required.
- Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen, and E-verify.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
