Position: Water/Wastewater Construction Executive (Field Operations Executive)

Compensation: $170,000 to $190,000 (based on experience) + bonus + 5 weeks PTO + vehicle allowance.
Irving Knight Group is partnering with a prominent building and infrastructure firm in the United States to find a Construction Executive who will oversee significant water and wastewater facility construction initiatives. We seek candidates with experience as General Superintendents or Field Operations Managers, not Project Managers, who have a proven track record of managing a craft workforce of over 50 individuals and supervising multiple Superintendents on extensive projects (valued at $100M+) or concurrently managing several projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and uphold a comprehensive project timeline, focusing on critical milestones, and effectively communicate this with contractors and stakeholders. Facilitate cross-functional meetings to achieve consensus on the schedule and adjust recovery plans as necessary.
- Ensure the efficient and timely execution of contracted work across one or more projects.
- Implement and uphold safety protocols, conducting regular inspections to guarantee adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements to facilitate smooth project delivery.
- Contribute to the creation and management of organizational charts, general conditions, project budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and execute a detailed plan for work sequencing, managing jobsite logistics, and tracking materials and personnel.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of Superintendent experience in water and wastewater projects.
- Experience overseeing a craft workforce of 50+ personnel.
- Experience managing multiple Superintendents on large-scale projects ($100M+) or several projects simultaneously.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant safety and construction regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Demonstrated experience in leading field operations and effectively communicating plans to diverse stakeholders.
- Hands-on construction experience.
- Familiarity with construction management software platforms such as PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Procure, and P6.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
