Behavioral Health Specialist

Avita Community Partners is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group counseling services to clients with mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Participate in regular clinical care team meetings to discuss client progress and develop strategies for improvement.
- Provide supervision and training to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Community Counseling, School Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from a CACREP, CSWE, CCPTP or COAMFTE accredited university.
- License eligible with the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists, allowing for an associate level license within six months of employment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
