Job Opportunity at All Around Children

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our team at All Around Children, a family-owned and operated childcare business. Our center is committed to delivering high-quality care and education to children, and we are looking for an individual who shares our passion for nurturing young minds.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the lead teacher in creating a safe and engaging learning environment for infants and toddlers.
  • Design and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing guidance and support to families.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to plan and execute daily activities and routines.
  • Communicate effectively with families, providing updates on their child's progress and developmental milestones.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA, AA, or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working in a licensed childcare program.
  • Experience teaching and working with children aged 1-3 years.
  • Current physical and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check.
  • Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for infants and young children.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and create a warm, nurturing environment for children and families.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to kneel, bend, squat, stand, and sit on child-sized furniture or on the floor for extended periods.

  • Preparedness to assist children in emergency situations.
