Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist 2 to join our Crisis and Diversion team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment services, crisis intervention, and treatment services to individuals and their families with complex needs and diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor all individuals under civil commitment, while inpatient and in the community, and determine the necessity for trial visits.
  • Provide consultation and training to hospitals, community members, and agencies regarding the civil commitment process and procedures.
  • Engage with individuals and their families to provide support and connect them with community services.
  • Collaborate with the Diversion Team to stabilize and connect Marion County residents with long-term community supports.
  • Provide BRES intake evaluation, set service goals for clients, and coordinate use of Crisis Associates as needed.
  • Connect clients with community services, including benefits, community case management, community counseling, alcohol and drug programs, vocational resources, medical resources, and ongoing medication.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, or a behavioral science field.
  • One year of post-master's degree experience in the behavioral health field.
  • Must be licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers, or credentialed or registered through the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon (MHACBO) as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) within the first 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be awarded to candidates who are LCSW, CSWA, or eligible for LCSW.
Working Conditions

This is a safety-sensitive/special needs position. Final candidates selected for this position will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, including testing for marijuana.
