Job Title: Mental Health Therapist 2

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist 2 to join our team at Marion County Health & Human Services (MCHHS). As a Mental Health Therapist 2, you will provide behavioral health services to individuals with complex needs and diagnoses, including those with co-occurring serious mental health disorders, major neurocognitive disorders, and complex behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessments and treatment of individuals and families, including groups, and crisis assessment and intervention services.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans, behavioral support plans, and crisis plans to support individuals in reaching their recovery milestones.
  • Meet with individuals on a weekly basis to provide therapy, case management, group therapy, and/or skills training as determined by the individualized service plan.
  • Coordinate and facilitate weekly IDT meetings to review treatment progress of residents, as required by Oregon Administrative Rules.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or a behavioral science field, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensed by the State of Oregon, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon.
  • At least one year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field for Mental Health Therapist 2 position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • LCSW, CSWA, or eligible for LCSW licensure.
Working Conditions:

This is a safety-sensitive/special needs position. Final candidates selected for this position will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, including testing for marijuana.

This position may be subject to the following: Must not be excluded from participation in the federal health care programs (Medicaid, Medicare and other federally funded programs that provide health benefits); AND must not be excluded from participating in federal procurement (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and non-procurement activities (Executive Order No).

The Providence Benedictine Enhanced Care Unit is a nursing facility maintained by a different entity. Staff will be required to follow protocols established by the nursing facility in order to maintain compliance with OHA standards, which may be different than standards established by MCABH.

Marion County offers a full-time position, which is eligible for overtime. Typical work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with flexibility depending upon the needs of the department and program.
