Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all functions within the accounting department, including:

  • Month-end closing processes
  • General ledger management
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Daily settlement reporting
  • Treasury and payables management

Direct and manage the monthly financial closing process, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of financial reports and analyses to both internal and external stakeholders.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting standards, and internal control frameworks.

Mentor junior team members and review their accounting outputs.

Collaborate closely with the Finance team to provide critical insights into financial performance.

Continuously assess opportunities for process enhancements and automation.

Demonstrate a proven ability to optimize processes and establish accounting frameworks for new product offerings.

Lead the annual audit and tax filing processes to successful completion.

Engage in additional duties and special projects as required, including state financials and quarterly investor financials preparation.

Compensation: $98,000 - $135,000 annually


Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of experience in corporate accounting, preferably in public companies, Big 4 firms, or rapidly growing organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Experience with fair value accounting and secured debt facilities.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and maintain a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in startups, specialty finance, or FinTech sectors.
  • SQL proficiency (PostgreSQL is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Ramp, Mineral Tree, and Solution7.
