Nurse Educator Role

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating orientation and continuing education programs for our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritize staff learning needs to design effective education programs.
- Collaborate with unit management to develop and implement education programs.
- Utilize current medical and nursing literature to inform education program development.
- Plan educational calendars to meet the specific needs of assigned areas.
- Apply principles of adult teaching-learning processes during classroom and clinical activities.
Requirements:
- A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- A Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Three years of experience as a registered nurse in a specialty area, including one year of experience in nursing education and training.
