About the Role:

Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Educator to provide facility-wide orientation and training programs, in-service education, and other educational programs for the development of facility personnel. The successful candidate will work closely with all departments to monitor, control, and prevent infections at the facility.

Responsibilities:

Formulate, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures for facility-wide in-service programs.
Prepare an annual calendar and master schedule of mandatory and other pertinent in-service programs, submitting a copy to the Administrator, Assistant Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Personnel Director.
Schedule, conduct, and arrange mandatory and other in-services for all staff.
Prepare the monthly in-service calendars and distribute them to all departments.
Stay up-to-date with and recommend training resources to departments participating in training programs.
In conjunction with the Personnel Director and Department Heads, conduct and/or arrange facility orientation for all new employees and conduct orientation for nursing personnel.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current New York State license as a Registered Nurse.
At least two to three years' experience in a long-term care facility in nursing administration.
Previous experience in in-service education.
Knowledge of CDC guidelines as related to infection control, as well as O.S.H.A requirements.
