EECU is seeking a dedicated Community Engagement Specialist to assist in the management of Business Development and Community Events & Sponsorship initiatives.

Under the guidance of the Director of Schools & Community Relations, the Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for establishing, nurturing, and expanding meaningful long-term partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, and Select Employee Groups. This role is essential in enhancing EECU's reputation and brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote awareness of EECU's offerings within the community through effective event planning and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Oversee all aspects of community engagement initiatives, including opportunity identification, team coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of events and sponsorships by tracking and measuring marketing investment returns.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Significant experience in public presentations and community relations.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation capabilities.
  • Proven ability to organize and manage successful events.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of credit union products and services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Critical thinking skills to assess strengths and weaknesses effectively.
  • Valid TX driver's license and insurability required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within the Dallas/Fort Worth area for client meetings and field operations.

Education and Experience:

  • A college degree in communications, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in business development or public relations is required.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Confident in making presentations and engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make independent decisions.
