Job Summary:

As a Flight Medical Technician - Advanced Life Support, your primary responsibility will be to activate patient care protocols to deliver quality patient care within your full scope of practice as defined by the state of Tennessee and LifeFlight's scope of practice. You will maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring the safety of patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete documentation of transports/patient care performed using Vanderbilt and Unit specific compliance policy.
  • Safely transport patients utilizing Vanderbilt and Unit specific safety policy and accreditation standards.
  • Communicate/collaborates effectively to meet patient and team needs.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Acknowledge assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Understand drug interactions (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate knowledge of drug interactions in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Display emergency management (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate emergency management in practical applications of moderate difficulty.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Organizational Impact: Performs non-routine tasks that significantly impact team's performance with minimal guidance.
  • Problem Solving/Complexity of Work: Conducts research and analysis to solve some non-routine problems.
  • Breadth of Knowledge: Applies broad job knowledge and has basic job skills in other areas.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

Position Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Emergency Medical Technician Advanced licensure
  • Work Experience: Less than 1 year relevant work experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
