Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Service Manager to join our team at Corporate Flight Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of A&P technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the John C. Tune (JWN) location of Contour Aircraft Maintenance, providing managerial oversight of A&P technicians in the production of retail maintenance for piston aircraft and corporate turboprop and jet aircraft.
  2. Support and foster growth of the maintenance base with the creation of an AOG Support Team focusing on corporate aircraft line maintenance support.
  3. Communicate professionally and respond promptly to customers, creating work packages and quotes for requested retail maintenance services.
  4. Generate invoices in a timely manner and reconcile with vendors, processing payments to the accounting department.
  5. Ensure airworthiness as defined within 14 CFR by researching permanent records, maintenance tracking programs, FAA Airworthiness Directives, and Manufacturers Service Bulletins/Customer Bulletins.
  6. Comply with internal company policies and procedures outlined in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM), Maintenance Procedures Manual (MPM), or any Company standard operating procedure document.
  7. Maintain a safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions, performing quality maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections to conform to Company, Federal regulation, and industry best practices.
  8. Responsible for management of the maintenance inspection requirements per CFR or approved inspection program, reviewing and ensuring all required entries into the aircraft logbooks and permanent records are accurate and preserved in accordance with Company and FAA requirements.
  9. Update and interface with computerized maintenance tracking programs, procure parts and materials, and perform maintenance planning along with management oversight of inspections, repairs, and modifications.
  10. Ensure timely scheduling of maintenance to least impact flight schedules and provide high aircraft availability, proactively providing recommendations for modifications and upgrades as necessary.
  11. Obtain vendor proposals for upcoming maintenance packages as required, establish contracts, publications, and subscriptions, troubleshoot defective aircraft systems and components in an effective manner, and internal supervisory responsibilities for maintenance personnel and external supervisory responsibilities with third-party vendors.
  12. Responsible for oversight of all hangar activities, including employee safety, hazmat material handling, and proper use of PPE and facility equipment, ensuring necessary tooling and/or equipment is available to accomplish assigned projects/tasks.
  13. Provide daily, weekly, and/or overall project status updates in a professional manner to senior management and/or customers, responsible for accuracy of time and attendance/personal leave and billing tasks to customers, submit engineering requests as required, and recommend specific training for employee personnel and help determine attendees.
  14. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned or required.

Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. The work environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
