Sales Team Member Roles:

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice is preferred for Asset Protection roles.

Experience:

Prior relevant work experience is preferred.

Experience operating POS equipment, symbols, and telephones is preferred for cashier roles.

Indirect support of individuals and processes to achieve operational excellence and sales targets is expected for cashier roles.

4+ years of personal experience with outdoor hobbies, interests, and skills, such as fishing and hunting, is preferred for outdoor enthusiast roles.

CPR and First Responder certification is a plus for Asset Protection roles.

A background in Loss Prevention or Criminal Justice is advantageous for Asset Protection roles.

Skills:

Exceptional customer service skills are essential.

The ability to connect, build rapport, and engage with customers who share interests in sports and outdoor activities is important; bilingual candidates are a plus.

Effective problem-solving and communication skills with customers and team members are necessary.

Capability to manage multiple tasks with strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required.

Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operational instructions, and procedure manuals is essential.

Proficiency in basic mathematical computations and common sense understanding to execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form is necessary.

Experience in using POS equipment and coaching others on its use is preferred for cashier roles.

Writing routine reports and correspondence is required for cashier roles.

Familiarity with inventory software and order processing systems is preferred for cashier roles.

A passion for and knowledge of various outdoor hobbies, interests, and skills, such as fishing, hunting, competitive shooting, and camping, is preferred for outdoor enthusiast roles.

Must meet federal and state requirements for selling and processing firearms transactions for specific sales roles.

Must qualify to obtain and maintain a FOID card (Illinois only) for specific sales roles.

Proficiency in using basic hand tools and cleaning equipment is necessary.

Deliver prompt and friendly customer service to all team members and customers.

Knowledge of emergency response procedures is essential.

Strong situational awareness and observation skills are required.

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Acceptable levels of hearing and vision to perform job duties are required.

Adherence to company work hours, policies, procedures, and professional conduct is mandatory.

Frequent walking, reaching, and talking are required.

Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling may be necessary.

Constant lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds is required.

Constant standing, handling, and repetitive motions (hands, wrists, and fingers) are necessary.

Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
