Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Manager to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, driving sales growth, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

About the Role
  • Lead and develop a team of meat department associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the daily operations of the meat department, including merchandising, inventory management, and stockroom organization.
  • Train and coach team members on proper handling and presentation of meats, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote cross-selling and drive store sales.
  • Analyze sales data and make recommendations to improve sales performance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
ResponsibilitiesSales and Customer Service
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and drive revenue growth.
  • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
Team Management
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing team members.
  • Counsel and discipline team members as needed, in accordance with company policies.
Operations and Administration
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and employee hours.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a grocery or retail setting.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Salary and Benefits

This is a salaried position, with an estimated annual salary range of $60,000 - $80,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
