Key Responsibilities- Patient Greeting and Registration: Greet patients in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule follow-up appointments and notify patients of any necessary authorizations or referrals.
- Insurance and Billing: Verify patient insurance coverage, collect co-payments and past-due account balances, and explain financial requirements to patients.
- Chart Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare charts for the following day, maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Communication and Customer Service: Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and empathy in all interactions.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one-two years of patient registration or front office experience in a medical setting.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of insurance rules and regulations, medical terminology, and computer scheduling systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
