Job Title: Patient Access Representative

Join Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health as a Patient Access Representative and play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for greeting patients and visitors, identifying and responding to their needs, and communicating with clinical staff to provide exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, using clear and respectful communication to meet their needs.
  • Verify patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Interview patients to accurately complete the MSP questionnaire for Medicare patients.
  • Participate in the up-front point of service collection process, collecting co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Request photo identification from patients to ensure accurate identification, and complete the Palm Scanning process as required.
  • Update and document patient registration records as information is received.
  • Adhere to Corporate and Compliance Guidelines, maintaining high-quality performance targets.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or doctor's office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as EPIC and Navinet systems.
