Key ResponsibilitiesIn the context of the Next Generation High-Speed Trains initiative, Alstom is providing advanced Maintenance Services to a major operator through a Technical Support and Spares Supply Agreement (TSSSA).
The Industrial Engineer assigned to the TSSSA project will be responsible for establishing industrial operations and defining as well as implementing industrial processes for maintenance tasks related to the NGHST trains.
- Conduct activities at various maintenance facilities;
- Update maintenance documentation in accordance with the transfer plan established with the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team;
- Exhibit confidence and knowledge in assigned responsibilities while collaborating directly with the client;
- Develop comprehensive Work Instructions, including standard task lists and times;
- Specify special tools and bill-of-material (BoM);
- Ensure that industrial resources align with maintenance requirements and train specifications;
- Perform field validation when necessary;
- Aim for optimal Industrial performance within the Alstom Production System (APSYS);
- Implement the Work Management System GSI for on-train activities, including data preparation and updates, utilizing the latest technology from the Alstom Service Execution System (SES);
- Coordinate closely with other teams involved in TSSSA execution, including Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Planning departments.
The TSSSA Industrial Engineer will also be responsible for introducing and updating Work Instructions to the production team.
Additionally, this role will contribute to the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities, validating train product documentation, special tools, and assisting in maintainability demonstrations at various sites.
Educational BackgroundAn Associate's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industrial engineering experience is required. A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
Experience Requirements- 2-5 years of relevant industrial engineering experience;
- Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials and Configuration Management;
- A minimum of 2 years in a railway maintenance environment, manufacturing setting, or ILS deployment;
- Technical experience in Methods Engineering, including the creation and enhancement of maintenance work instructions.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings;
- Proficiency in drafting and CAD software such as AutoCAD, Pro-E, CATIA, or Solid Works;
- Knowledge of DMA for accessing engineering 3D models and drawings;
- Proficient in MS Office applications;
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English;
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and engage with all stakeholders;
- Understanding of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic and international) as required.
