About the Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Building Electrical Engineer to join our team at Koniag Government Services. As a Building Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems in commercial and government buildings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement electrical systems in commercial and government buildings
  • Develop and maintain electrical system designs and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate electrical system designs and installations
  • Perform electrical demand load calculations and generator load calculations to ensure optimal system performance
  • Select and specify electrical equipment, size conduits, and perform electrical panel load calculations to ensure safe and efficient system operation
  • Conduct site visits to collect data and evaluate electrical system performance
  • Provide recommendations to clients and stakeholders on electrical system design and installation best practices
  • Troubleshoot electrical system issues and develop solutions to prevent future problems
  • Interpret National Electrical Code and communicate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance
  • Work closely with project managers to deliver well-coordinated electrical design reviews and ensure timely project completion
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality electrical system designs and installations
  • Assist in writing scopes of work for electrical system design and installation projects
  • Perform construction administration duties to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering
  • 10 years of experience in building electrical system design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Top Secret security clearance

Working Conditions:

  • Professional office environment with low to moderate noise level
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and use standard office equipment
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Estimated Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
