Job Title: Clinic Phone Triage Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinic Phone Triage Medical Assistant to join our team at US Derm Support Roles. As a key member of our dermatology clinic, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls in a timely and polite manner, taking accurate notes and relaying messages to the appropriate provider or staff member.
  • Respond to voicemails in a timely and knowledgeable manner, following up to address the message with confidence.
  • Maintain accurate logs and become knowledgeable about dermatology, including wound care, dermatologic diseases, procedures, and prescriptions.
  • Schedule appointments for Mohs surgery, excisions, ED&C, follow-ups, and recalls, providing instructions for pre-op and post-op care.
  • Collect fees associated with services, including deposits and outstanding balances, and update the daily ledger as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Post-high school education in a medical support field, such as Medical Assistant, CMA, RMA, or CNA.
  • Current state certifications, licenses, and/or registrations to continue employment.
  • 1 year of recent medical office experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer functions and able to operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor at all times.
