Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an insurance defense attorney with exceptional knowledge of Florida civil procedure, evidence, and trial strategy. The ideal candidate will have outstanding written and oral advocacy skills, as well as the ability to independently manage a caseload.

The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend some time in the office.

Qualifications
  • Must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  • Must have an active license to practice law in Florida and be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • 3+ years of legal experience is preferred
  • Insurance defense experience is preferred but not required
  • Jury trial experience in either civil or criminal areas of law is preferred
  • Experience handling discovery, depositions, and hearings
  • Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and trials including Word, Outlook, and Westlaw
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required
