We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and equipment using Solidworks.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment using Solidworks, including cranes, material handling equipment, and other devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer specifications and industry codes.
- Annotate drawings with standardized symbols and signs to clearly illustrate design.
- Develop Bills of Materials to itemize components of mechanical design.
- Provide technical assistance and support to installation crew and customers.
- Develop detailed technical specifications and procedures for customer use.
- Perform optimization of bridge girders, trolleys, and other crane components to reduce costs and improve delivery schedules.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of five years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Solidworks and Excel.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including entrance to nuclear power plants.
- Knowledge of ASME, AISC, and CMAA standards.
