About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Solidworks to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing cranes, material handling equipment, and other devices using Solidworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical drive systems and perform initial sizing calculations to properly apply motors, gearboxes, couplings, and other mechanical components.
  • Develop Bills of Materials (BOM) to itemize all the components of the mechanical design.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to facilitate turn-key projects, including electrical, structural, civil, and installation crew.
  • Perform design changes to existing equipment for customer modernization projects.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to our installation crew and customers.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications and procedures for customer use.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Expertise in Solidworks and mechanical design.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drive systems and component selection.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative design environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
