Position Overview and ResponsibilitiesThe Field Service Scheduling Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of Field Service Technicians, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently.
This role involves fulfilling service agreements, optimizing technician utilization, and achieving organizational revenue and productivity targets.
The primary responsibility includes scheduling and routing technicians based on known tasks, customer priorities, workload demands, and material availability to enhance operational efficiency.
The work schedule is typically from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional shifts from 9 AM to 6 PM, and on-call duties every 5 to 6 weekends.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Organize Field Service Technicians' activities to meet service goals and standards.
- Ensure compliance with established dispatch processes and policies.
- Analyze and optimize work schedules to minimize travel distances for technicians.
- Adjust work schedules based on customer needs, priority levels, and resource availability.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of necessary materials to job sites in accordance with service agreements.
- Monitor the status of open orders and ensure documentation from technicians is ready for invoicing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders.- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Success
Education:
An associate degree in a business or technical field, with at least two years of experience in planning or scheduling within a service, logistics, or manufacturing environment; or a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- Background in field service or related industry is advantageous.
- Proficiency with ERP and/or CRM systems is preferred, especially in sales/service logistics.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation to meet customer needs and optimize company profitability.
- Decision-making responsibilities include directing technicians' daily activities through effective scheduling and route planning, and determining when to involve other departments or management in customer issues.
- Demonstrate professionalism and diligence in achieving departmental and organizational objectives.- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in task execution.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with adaptability to change.
- Self-motivated with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions independently.
- Excellent prioritization skills for managing multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and conflict management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
