Sign-On Incentive: $1,000 (distributed in two installments) for fully certified HCAs and CNAs

Role Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Caregiver is to assist residents with their daily living activities (ADLs) while upholding the highest standards of care and adhering to infection control protocols. Caregivers will provide support in a manner that aligns with the mission of Bainbridge Senior Living.

Key Duties:

  1. Resident Interaction: Offer companionship to residents through conversation, activities, and assistance with daily tasks.
  2. Collaborative Teamwork: Effectively communicate with colleagues to ensure exceptional care and address challenges collectively.
  3. Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with residents, their families, and the wider community to cultivate a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  4. Quality Care Assurance: Deliver the highest quality of care, addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
  5. Professionalism and Support: Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures while embodying the values of the organization and maintaining professionalism.

Qualifications:

  1. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must be at least 18 years old.
  2. Licensure as Required by DSHS:
    1. Washington State License Requirements: Current Certified Nursing Assistant license or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire OR Current Nurse Assistant Registered license with proof of work prior to 2012 OR Current Home Care Aide license.
    2. Dementia and Mental Health specialty training within 90 days of hire.
    3. Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
    4. Washington State Food Worker Card or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire.
    5. 12 Hours of Continuing Education Units each year by birthday.
    6. Nurse Delegation and Insulin Delegation is not required but is a plus.
  3. Skills:
    1. Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
    2. Ability to occasionally lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs.
    3. Able to walk and/or stand for up to 80% of the workday.
