This position reports to

Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will serve as a design authority within an engineering discipline. Daily, you will engage in assignments across various projects of moderate complexity or segments of larger initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness. You will demonstrate your expertise by guaranteeing that tasks are completed in alignment with contract specifications, quality benchmarks, safety protocols, and cybersecurity standards. The work model for this role is: onsite. This position contributes to the Process Automation Process Industries division. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating with clients to define and implement solutions while actively seeking feedback to enhance and refine outcomes.
• Developing work plans and cost assessments for the project portfolio, ensuring quality and timely execution within budgetary constraints.
• Coordinating with relevant departments to ensure that designs are effectively manufactured, staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
• Mentoring engineering colleagues on converting conceptual designs into engineering documentation, sharing best practices, and lessons learned from previous projects.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, process, electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Experience in developing industrial processes in sectors such as chemical, metal, rubber, glass, material handling, or similar fields. Willingness to adapt to new areas, including but not limited to, batteries, food/beverage, and metal plating.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in: hands-on work with Controls and HMI, configuring control software and hardware, design of control panels, controls programming, Bill of Materials (BoM) and submittals, and Data Center EPMS product and solution experience.
  • Proficiency in Modbus communications.
  • Experience in both light and heavy industry control applications.
  • Familiarity with AC & DC Motors.
  • Candidates must possess valid work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
