We are seeking a dedicated HVAC Systems Specialist to become an integral part of our team. This role involves interpreting schematics to install refrigeration components, performing brazing and soldering of piping, conducting leak and vacuum tests, and charging systems with refrigerants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation of refrigeration components, including pipe installation and plumbing tasks.
  • Maintain refrigeration systems and process fluid loops for various custom equipment.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure compliance with system specifications.
  • Interpret and understand process flow and engineering schematics.
  • Layout, cut, mount, and connect process piping using various methods.
  • Fill process loops with designated gases or fluids.
  • Connect pipes to functional components and utility systems.
  • Insulate piping and other system components as necessary.
  • Read and comprehend electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Follow safety protocols and utilize safety equipment diligently.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Exhibit mental acuity necessary for fulfilling job requirements.

Qualifications:

  • HVAC Certification required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HVAC technology.
  • EPA Universal Certification is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience with steam systems and various piping materials.
  • In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficient in using manifold gauge sets and temperature measuring devices.
  • Familiarity with refrigeration recovery, evacuation, and charging processes.
  • Strong organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves hands-on work in a manufacturing environment, including lifting, bending, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and read in English.
  • Capability to see with corrective lenses and differentiate colors.
  • Ability to hear and walk as required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed.

Hazards:

  • Normal hazards associated with manufacturing and testing environments.
  • Potential hazards related to travel.
